The BBC is set to broadcast "Return to Paradise," a new spin-off series set in Australia, derived from the popular UK show "Death in Paradise." Scheduled for filming next year, this six-part series will be produced by BBC Studios Productions Australia in collaboration with Red Planet Pictures for the ABC, in association with the BBC.
"Return to Paradise" is based in the picturesque coastal village of Dolphin Cove, where six intriguing murder mysteries unfold amidst the stunning Australian landscape.
The protagonist, Mackenzie Clarke, an Australian expatriate excelling in detective work at the London Metropolitan police force, is known for her intuitive problem-solving skills. Despite her success in cracking challenging cases, Mackenzie is compelled to return to her childhood home in Dolphin Cove, a place she had vowed never to revisit.
Having left Dolphin Cove abruptly six years ago, Mackenzie is confronted with unresolved issues and unanswered questions upon her return. Despite her reluctance to be back in town, a murder occurrence prompts her to utilize her detective expertise. She realizes that she must confront her past, including addressing the relationship she abandoned years ago.
