In the summer of 1990 in Halberstadt, Maren, Robert, and Volker stumbled upon millions of East German marks hidden in an old tunnel. Despite the money being deemed worthless, the trio decided to transport it in their backpacks. They devised a clever plan involving their neighbors to outsmart capitalism by bartering the money for goods.
